I dont doubt that the Feds might have said that, but I do not believe that JR was really stiffed. Roenick felt very comfortable with betting both offshore and with a local.

The NHL doesn't forbid players from wagering on sports as long as it's not their own. Roenick was more in trouble with Clarke than anyone else and he settled it with him and the almighty Ed.

John L Edens likes to tell stories. I'm sure he'll be here soon posting about how he's a born again tout. John give us all a break.

    whatcha lookin at
Im not protecting that sports book. I would of said the name-trust me. The Feds are famous for throwing things out there just to see what you know. Even the fag sports bet will tell you that.

Touts are famous for lies, lies and more lies Johnny. Excuse us all if, given your "profession", we don't believe a word of anything you say.

I didn't say anything that you said HERE is a lie Johnny, I just said that touts are famous for lies (and rightfully so). But I do know for a fact that you're a liar because you tried your crap on me a while back (and got no money). One more thing, whatchlookinat accused you of protecting a book by not naming it and you replied that you weren't protecting it and that you would've named it; well, here's your chance. Name it right now.

    1) JR did not speak directly with the book
    2) His "beard" was from the Western U.S.
    3) JR and beard were never stiffed by the book.
    4) The book was Fair Deal Sports.
    5) Fair Deal is now under different ownership.

That's all JD told me I could say.

Yakov- Not sure where you got your info but maybe I can help you out....

1- Initially JR did not put his bets in himself. As time went on, he did.

2- His "beard" was the guy who got him involved in the first place. The "beard" however was smarter than JR and he dropped out long before JR. Yes his "beard" was from Arizona.

3- I never heard of them getting stiffed either.

4- JR used a few different offshore places including Fair Deal, Five Card and SBG.

5- The ownership change in Fair Deal was in place before JR started using them.

    Acie,

Did he ever bet NHL directly offshore?
    It's not a trick question.
    I just dunno.

Yakov- Jr never would admit to betting on hockey, however he would offer his advice on how he thought the Flyers would do before a game and he usually did very well with his "picks" (usually totals). I find it hard to believe that a degenerate as big as JR is would be able to pass on a game that he really liked regardless of what sport it may be. I mean it was not uncommen for him to be down in excess of 150k to a local guy in any given week. I know 150k to a guy with his money is nothing. But I can say I have never met anyone who HATED to lose more than JR does.
